Double Award for local Entrepreneur
David Cameron’s Aspiration Economy is already underway, being led by UK’s growing band of Entrepreneurs
We are getting our entrepreneurial streak back in the UK: last year the rate of new business creation was faster than any other year in our history. One local entrepreneur knows just what it takes to buck the trend and grow their business.
Graham Hill, of Verbatim, the telephone call answering service, based out of Newbury has grown his business month on month over the last 18 months and is now garnering the awards to prove it.
Graham is the first Oxfordshire member of the Entrepreneurs’ Circle to be awarded “Entrepreneur of the Month” twice in less than a year for making stuff happen in his business and implementing things that have improved both his service to his clients and the marketing of his business. As a result his revenues and profitability are growing and his business is starting to fly.
Verbatim, which provides telephone answering services for businesses across the UK, has completely transformed the company by introducing a new fresh look into their branding and completely rebuilding their website www.verbatim-cc.co.uk to make it work better for their clients.
Graham attributes a lot of his success to the practical help and advice he has received since joining the Entrepreneur’s Circle, the UK’s largest membership based organisation committed to helping businesses to grow through practical help and advice.
Graham says “I am delighted to have received this award twice in a year from my local Entrepreneurs’ Circle as it reflects the hard work my whole team has put into making sure our business really does demonstrate our commitment to clients and that their calls are indeed ‘our passion’.
We have built a great team at Verbatim and I have another great team supporting me at the Entrepreneurs’ Circle who are always there for me. It can be lonely running a business so having Susan and Rob from the Entrepreneur’s Circle as my business growth advisors is like having an unofficial board, which gives me the encouragement to try new things in my business in order to grow.”
Rob Banfield of the Entrepreneurs’ Circle in Oxford says: “This award is well-deserved. Graham is a really forward-thinking businessman, who has embraced the latest marketing tools and more importantly has used these to great effect to grow his business with exceptional results.”
In David Cameron’s speech to the Conservative party conference in October, he talked about the Aspiration Economy, where to get British businesses to grow we need a whole new economy with more enterprising and aspirational businesses to drive this forward. Graham Hill at Verbatim is one of this new generation of entrepreneurs who are taking it upon themselves to make Britain the best place in the world to grow a business.
