Comic Relief Success for Verbatim


Telephone answering service Verbatim raised almost £400 for Comic Relief on Red Nose Day, 16th March. As Verbatim answer thousands of calls every month from clients throughout the UK they decided an appropriate way to donate to the charity would be to give 5p for every call taken on the day.

Red Nose Day kicked off early for staff at Verbatim. Radio Berkshire were driving around Berkshire on a motorised red sofa, stopping off at to chat to various companies who were raising money for Comic Relief (so if you saw a red sofa driving down the road on your way into work, you weren’t dreaming…).

Verbatim were the first on the list at 8 am. As well as donating 5p for every call they answered on the day, Verbatim staff also visited all other businesses on New Greenham Park where they are based, collecting donations the old-fashioned way: in a bucket! All Verbatim staff wore red Comic Relief t-shirts and red noses – they had even made red nose cakes.

Verbatim would like to thank everyone who helped and supported their efforts, especially the company owners and staff who donated money to the charity. As a result, they raised a grand total of £395.98. Verbatim is a Telephone Answering service, answering inbound telephone calls from clients across the UK, from SMEs to large corporates.
